Willett Distillery Auctioning A Barrel of its exclusive Willett Family Estate Single Barrel Bourbon

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA — Safe House Project – a national non-profit organization dedicated to rehoming survivors of child sex trafficking – will host its “Age of Innocence Gala” at the Quail Hollow Club on Saturday, November 9th from 6-10PM. Guests will have the unique and exclusive opportunity to bid on their own barrel of Willett Family Estate Single Barrel, Cask Strength, Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

“No one should be a survivor of the cause that gathers us together. It’s unnecessary. It’s preventable. This is the United States of America. This is the year of two thousand and nineteen. It’s time. It’s our time. Boots down, shields up. Let’s fight for our children. Let’s protect them until we can show them how to fight,” said Britt Kulsveen, President & Chief Whiskey Officer of Willett Distillery.

Through the support of Willett Distillery, and other generous sponsors and donors this evening will feature both a live and silent auction to support the organization’s efforts. Proceeds from the event will contribute to the physical and emotional healing of some 3,000-reported children rescued from the sex trafficking industry each year.

“Without intervention of organizations like Safe House Project, 80-percent of those survivors would fall back into the hands of their traffickers,” said Safe House Project CEO, Kristi Wells. “We’re committed to helping more children have a future free of victimization.”

Safe House Project was established in early 2018 by Wells, and 2 fellow military families who share a passion to end domestic sex trafficking. Through their combined efforts, an army of volunteers, and the community, they hope to provide places of freedom and restoration to every survivor.

“Every child deserves to live in a world where their innocence is not only valued, it’s protected,” said Wells. “We hope this event, and our organization as a result, will be a part of ending the cycle of sexual violence against children in America.”
