It starts with a phone call. A police officer with a survivor in custody. A grandmother worried about her granddaughter. A nurse who's seen the same patient three times in one week. All of them saw something. None of them knew what to do next.
A Way Out follows Safe House Project, a national anti-trafficking organization, as it takes on one of the hardest problems in America: kids and adults being exploited in plain sight while the systems built to protect them fall short.
The film takes you inside the movement. You'll meet the co-founders who started with nothing but a conviction that trafficking can be ended in our lifetime. You'll hear from survivors who know what it feels like to be invisible in plain sight. And you'll see how survivor leaders, law enforcement, attorneys general, and everyday Americans are uniting around new tools, like Simply Report, an AI-powered reporting platform that turns community concern into real-time action.
This isn't a film about how dark the problem is. It's a film about what happens when ordinary people decide the problem ends with them.
